Useful glass fiber brush The glass fiber brushes are a useful tool to remove rust or other oxide layers from metals, clean up contacts, prepare metal or plastic surfaces for glue or epoxy application. The fiber tip is approximately 1/4 inch diameter allowing for precision work.You can modify the abrasive action of the pen by the length of the exposed fiber bundle (short equals more abrasive action, longer equals softer abrasive action).These pens have a long lasting supply of glass fiber that can be advanced by rotating the rear cap of the pen. That supply - for my use cases - lasts over six months.Overall, a very useful, well-made gadget to clean and (intentionally) scuff hard and soft surfaces. And the price is right.I will certainly buy more (in a few years, because these last a good while).Highly recommended.

Good Price, Multi Uses, Recommended This is a great set I’m going to use them for my wood projects, but you can use them for jewelry, watches, coin cleaning, tight places, electronic applications, removing rust and corrosion, and so much more. They’re a great price and will last a long time for me. I recommend and will buy them again.

Skeptical proved wrong I had a cartridge video game that I purchased with spots of corrosion on the games line of contacts. Made there by what kids do to appear to get the game to run, blowing on those prongs. But this is not how you clean, or fix a finicky game. But I used the fiberglass scratch brush, one of 3 included, and it really worked to clean off the spots of corrosion. Of course you need to realize using it on a delicate thin contact strip, could go right through rendering the high priced game rubish. But it worked well, very well. For a reasonable price I have 3 brushes that should last an eternity.

Work okay, not very abrasive it is for sure more like a brush, flimsy, come loose Work okay, really have to work them to do anything as it is like a brush, not really good for removing solder mask unless you want to rub on it for several minutes. Build quality could be better, very flimsy feeling and the end comes loose often while using. Still works good for VERY light work if that is what you need them for
