Old Standby S.O.S. was in our kitchen growing up. My mother tried but did not like the competitor steel wool products and always insisted on S.O.S. When I had my own kitchen, I purchased S.O.S. because that's what I was familiar with. It is a great product. I also tried the competitors, but came back to S.O.S. I no longer really need to try anything else. This steel wool pad lasts a long time, even after being drenched to wash a pot or pan.
